Would it be okay to use deodorizing dog shampoo on my female rats?
I'm fairly new to having rats a friend told me that i can use dog shampoo to bathe them and she's been breeding and raising them for years. Is there a certain kind of dog shampoo that would be best for them? At my Petco and Petsmart i can't seem to find any rodent shampoo just coat sprays and they really need to be bathed.Any help is greatly appreciated!Thank you!
This is probably terrible but I use Bath and Body Works body wash good smelling stuff!!!! It has never harmed any of my rats and they smell delicious after a bath!
As a tip-use rubber kitchen gloves to avoid being scratched. And when they squeak and get upset just hurry through the process-don't get intimidated or feel like you are hurting them. I fill the sink up 1/2 way with luke warm water and use it for both bathing and rinsing. A little drop of cleaner will do the trick!
