Otic Ear
Ear problems are not something we like to spend a lot of time thinking about and therefore searching for an ear wax removal system is the last thing we want to do. If you have a problem in your ears, however, you may have no choice but to look for an optimal solution or keep enduring the discomfort you have now.
Carbamide Peroxide - Otic is a medication often used to soften ear wax build up and remove unwanted wax from the ears. It is generally applied twice daily, but should not be used for more than four days at a time, unless your doctor advises otherwise. It is best to have someone else apply the medication, if possible.
Be sure that person washes their hands first while you hold the container in your hand for a few minutes to warm it. This warming will help you to keep from getting dizzy when the drops are applied. The person applying the medication should be sure to not let the dropper touch your ear or any other surface.
To apply the medication, simply lie on your side or tilt the affected ear upward. Drop five to ten drops into the ear canal. If the medication is being applied for an adult, hold the earlobe up and back; for children, hold the earlobe down and back. This method will ensure the ear wax removal system is as effective as possible.
The key to keeping the medication in the ear is to keep the head tilted for several minutes or insert a cotton ball or other cotton material gently into the ear as a plug. Replace the dropped back into the medicine bottle, careful not to rinse it first.
Any ear wax that may still be in the ear after the medication is applied can easily be removed by gently rinsing the ear with warm water or using a syringe with a soft rubber bulb. As with any ear wax removal system, just be sure to be very careful with the ear and the ear canal as your ear drum may be closer than you think.
